At approximately 2.18pm today, Singapore Art Museum (SAM) received a security threat. All visitors and staff have been safely evacuated from the building and the relevant authorities were brought in to investigate the situation.

The Singapore Biennale 2025 site at 20 Anderson Road is also undergoing precautionary checks.

As investigations are ongoing, we are unable to disclose any further details. In the meantime, SAM and 20 Anderson Road will be closed until further notice. Members of public are advised to keep away from the vicinity.

We understand the public’s concerns about safety and security in popular public spaces like our museum. Rest assured that we continue to work closely with the authorities to ensure that the necessary security procedures are in place.
