SAM has launched a by-invite only pilot in December 2020, with three local residency places across the Community & Education Residency and the Curatorial & Research Residency.
Taking place from January to March 2021, these residencies will host participants based in Singapore only, and will be conducted both digitally and physically. Read more about the pilot batch of residents below.

Chu Hao Pei (b. 1990) is a visual artist who works primarily with installation and lens-based media to explore the complex shifts and interconnections between culture and the environment. Conversations are core to his research interests and method, and his works interweave engagement, documentation and research. While in residence, Hao Pei will be investigating seed sovereignty and agriculture amnesia as shaped by political, economic and social factors.
